Psychological Educational Evaluation

Evaluations and Testing Services

Hennessey_008We conduct psychological, psychoeducational, neuropsychological, and admissions (private school) testing. • Social-emotional functioning
  • Attention and concentration
  • Executive functioning
  • Adaptive functioning

Signs that a Psychoeducational Evaluation May be Helpful are:

  • Difficulty completing timed tasks/tests
  • Lower than expected performance on standardized tests
  • Difficulty with handwriting and fine motor skills
  • Problems with organization and procrastination
  • Difficulty following instructions
  • Persistent low mood, anxiety, and/or anger
  • Oppositional behavior
  • Distractibility or restlessness

  • What is Cbt?

CBT promotes independence by teaching coping skills, problem solving, and self-help in therapy.

CBT is designed to be a relatively brief form of treatment. Many problems can be treated in 10-24 sessions, although longer treatment is sometimes necessary.
